We’re very proud of all our staff and consider them part of our family.
Andrew
Partner and Surveyor. Andrew is one of the industry’s most skilled surveyors and is key to the planning stages of any move. Andrew named the business after his daughter Amber. When he’s not wearing his Bob the Builder hat for surveys, he can be found treading the boards. He is actively involved with an amateur dramatic group and regularly performs in pantomimes and murder mysteries. Keeping up his fitness, he is currently studying for his Personal Trainer qualifications.
Jan
Customer Services Director. Jan is the main point of contact for your move, from the initial enquiry, through arranging the survey, raising the contract, organising the logistics and finally, the after-sales care. She manages the diary and keeps bookings up to date, always working in pencil because “you never know what could happen during the conveyance process”. She is also responsible for Human Resources and keeping us up to date with the Health & Safety Legislation. Although Jan only joined us in 2010, she has been a friend of the Amber Moves family for many years.
Raquel
Financial Director. She keeps our accounts up to date, managing the sales and purchase ledgers and staying on top of all the administrative details. She is also our Storage Manager, keeping track of customers as they come in and out of the warehouse, and our resident blogger, generally keeping our website up to date and filled with interesting stories and customer comments. Raquel joined us in 2005 and by now is firmly part of the family, having seen many changes an improvements over the years.
Team Leaders
The ace in our hand. Once Jan and Andrew have surveyed and organised the logistics, Matthew, Marcin and Tamas step in and manage the nitty-gritty of the move. They make sure that the rest of the team understand the customer’s expectations and requirements while also handing out the tasks of packing, dismantling, wrapping, protecting and loading to the various team members. They liaise with the customer, keeping them informed of the progress of their move and dealing with any unforeseen circumstances.

Porters
Of course, it doesn’t matter how organised we are if we don’t have boots on the ground. The men who actually do the work of moving your possessions are all chosen for their particular skills and the care they take with your belongings. After all, they are moving things you have collected over a lifetime and we don’t let just anybody do this.
